The Charles Taber Institute for World Mission  The Institute for Church Planting  The Charles Cook Institute for Excellence in Ministry

The mission of the Emmanuel Institutes is to advance the understanding, practice, and development of spiritual leadership for the benefit of mission endeavors, new churches, and ministers of the Gospel in all settings. The three Institutes are extensions of the high quality academic programs of Emmanuel. The Institutes, established in 2005, are devoted to church leadership effectiveness, as well as equipping and supporting ministry leaders around the globe.

Embedded in a highly esteemed theological school, the contributions of the Institutes are grounded in biblical scholarship. Wary of quick fixes, the Institutes want to make substantial and sustained contributions to Christian leadership and church health. The Institutes will strive to be practical and action-oriented, helping leaders and their organizations more effectively fulfill vision. The over-riding desire is to transform learning and ideas into life-changing action.

Increasingly, a portfolio of opportunities for learning, skill enhancement, self-development, current resource orientation, and personnel and church assessment will be available. A special passion for renewing the individual leader as well as his or her marriage, family, and ministerial team will be evident in the priorities of the Institutes. Resources and services will become available over time and many will be deliverable online.

Timely future lectureships, seminars, retreats, workshops, and conferences will be offered annually on the Emmanuel campus. The Fred and Dorothy Thompson Community Center will provide a lovely and functional context for events and will house the Emmanuel Institutes and director, John Wasem. The B. D. Phillips Memorial Building is the centerpiece of the 23-acre campus and houses the academic activities of Emmanuel. The extraordinary Emmanuel facilities, including the 151,000-item library, are at the disposal of guests of the Institutes. The Institutes look forward to hosting events at other strategic locations nationally and at mission spots globally. Eventually, continuing education and other special presentations will be available on the web.

Devoted to church leadership, effectiveness, equipping and support for ministry servants around the globe.
