A Letter from
Emmanuel’s President
Dr. C. Robert Wetzel, President

Emmanuel exists to prepare men and women for effective Christian ministry.

Theologically the School is grounded in a commitment to the Lordship of Christ as the only begotten Son of God. Our faculty hold a high view of Scripture, recognizing the Bible as uniquely inspired and authoritative for the faith and practice of the church.

The approach of the Emmanuel faculty to the study of Scripture is both scholarly and confessional. There is care to handle “correctly the word of truth.” Sound biblical scholarship is seen as a servant to the overall welfare of the church, and it shapes the practical ministerial education Emmanuel students receive.

Not only do we invite you to browse the Emmanuel School of Religion web site, we would like for you to visit the beautiful Emmanuel campus located in the scenic mountainous area of Upper East Tennessee.

C. Robert Wetzel,
President
