The
33-acre Emmanuel campus offers a breathtaking view of the nearby
mountains
Located on a knoll
about two miles east of Johnson City, Tennessee (One Walker Drive,
Johnson City, TN 37601), Emmanuel School
of Religion overlooks the Milligan College community and offers a
breathtaking view of the nearby mountains. The hub of the
33-acre
Emmanuel campus is the B. D. Phillips Memorial Building, provided
through the generosity of the B. D. Phillips Charitable Trust of
Butler, Pennsylvania. Facilities include a chapel, library,
bookstore, classrooms, workrooms, faculty and administrative
offices, print shop, and a multipurpose room designed for
lectures, dramatic productions, radio and television services, and
social functions.
The Dana Gohn Prayer Garden
is a wonderful addition to the School and is used regularly by the
Emmanuel community and the general community as well.
The Garden Chapel of the Risen
Lord offers a beautiful and peaceful resting place for friends
of the School, the Emmanuel family, and others on occasion. The
Fred and Dorothy Thompson
Community Center ,dedicated in October 2007, features ten guest
rooms and suites and over 4,500 square feet of meeting and retreat
space.
The
Emmanuel Village, a student
housing development on the campus, opened for occupancy in the
fall of 2000. There are presently 42 cottages in the Village
occupied by students and their families.
