A Letter from the Director

Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Ministry Program at Emmanuel School of Religion. We are convinced that our program will prove stimulating and helpful to nearly any Christian involved in leadership ministry, whether it be in a local congregation, an institutional or military chaplaincy, a cross-cultural mission, or para-church organization.

We intend this degree program to be demanding and at the same time immediately applicable to your ministry. Our instructors expect students to do doctoral-level academic work, but they are also aware of the demands of the ministries our students are involved in.

You will find detailed information and application forms on this internet site. If you prefer, we will send you printed forms. We invite you to consider the program seriously, and if you like what you see, to send in your application or request more information. We will process your application quickly, especially if it comes to us during the regular school term.

Feel free to come by and talk with us when you can. We’ll be glad to show you around and discuss how our program might benefit you in ministry.

Yours in Christ,
Jack Holland
Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program

The Doctor of Ministry Degree Program

Emmanuel’s Doctor of Ministry Degree program is designed to help students integrate deep reading and thinking in biblical, historical, and doctrinal paths
with their practice of ministry in and with the church. Emmanuel’s commitment to the global mission of the church has resulted in curriculum, instructional
staff, and student body all of which is international in makeup. Emmanuel’s purpose for this program is to equip the church with leaders who are ready to serve the Lord in ways which are biblically grounded, historically informed, doctrinally clear, and relevant to the contemporary context.
