am grateful that you have taken the time to look at the Emmanuel School of Religion Catalog. President C. Robert WetzelWhether you are a prospective student or an interested friend of Emmanuel, this collection of information has been prepared for you.

From its inception in 1965, Emmanuel School of Religion has been committed to preparing men and women for service in the church. In the belief that good preparation for ministry necessitates seriousness of purpose and disciplined diligence, the standards for ministerial preparation have been set high. Consequently churches have been blessed with the ministry of the Emmanuel alumni, and the School has attained recognition for its contribution to the scholarly study of scripture and related disciplines.

Yet, being a young seminary has given Emmanuel School of Religion the flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of ministry, while at the same time retaining its initial commitments to a quality preparation for service in the church. With the development of the Emmanuel Village and a program of tuition waivers for the spouses of full-time students, the School is currently enhancing the opportunity for both marriage partners to participate in a program of spiritual development and formation for ministry.

I invite you to explore this Catalog as it describes the nature of Emmanuel School of Religion and explains the programs offered. What we cannot explain is the beautiful setting in which Emmanuel is located. We must simply invite you to come see it for yourself.

Yours in Christ,
C. Robert Wetzel, President
